My My name is Dave Morton and I have been a keen amateur landscape photographer all my adult life. <\/span><\/p>\n

This web site features mostly images taken whilst living in North Devon but also on my travels more widely in the UK and abroad including Scotland, the Alps and the Himalayas.<\/span><\/p>\n

I started the web site back in 2011 after my wife and I purchased The Old Bakery in the village of Georgeham just a mile from Croyde on the North Devon coast.  Living in such a beautiful part of the world inspired me to capture the beauty of the local area which includes the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the South West Coastal Path, some of the best beaches and coastal scenery in the UK and the Exmoor National Park. Thus a large portion of the web site features images taken in North Devon.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a special gallery page for photographs taken by our son Paul to whom this website is dedicated. Paul was himself a keen photographer but died from a brain tumour aged 19 in 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n

We ran The Old Bakery as a B&B with self-catering accommodation but our motivation was to offer free holidays to young adults who had a life threatening or terminal illness. The holidays were paid for via grants from a charitable trust we set up in Paul’s name called Paul’s Fund, and in this context the accommodation was known as Paul’s Place.<\/span><\/p>\n

The original, high-resolution versions of the images on this web site are available in return for a donation to a suitable charity such as Teenage cancer Trust<\/a>, Young Lives vs cancer (formerly CLIC Sargent)<\/a>,  or The Brain Tumour Charity <\/a> which provides a range of support services and funds cutting edge research.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2021 we sold The Old Bakery and moved to Tarporley in Cheshire to be closer to our daughter and her family.<\/span><\/p>\n
