My wife and I love to visit these gardens which are just a few miles from Georgeham. My wife works as a volunteer but I just go to wander round and take photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The garden is privately owned and extends over 20 acres with three lakes and is set in a secluded valley 4 miles from Barnstaple. It was created<\/a> by Dr Jimmy Smart VMH in the late 1950’s. What I like is the informal nature of the garden in contrast to many National Trust or RHS gardens.
