Croyde is renowned primarily for its world class surfing beach but is also very popular with families over the summer months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is an attractive village that has avoided the extensive developments of south Devon and retains much of its charm and character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, like many popular visitor destinations, it’s resident population has declined and over half the houses in the village are now holiday homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As well as the beach there are great walks out to the Baggy Point headland and up on to Saunton Down that affords wonderful views over both Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands with Dartmoor and Hartland Point visible in the distance.
