We are fortunate to have a lovely garden in our new home aptly named Garden Cottage. In fact it is really three gardens, front, back and side, each with its own very distinct character. It is very much a work in progress and we have taken out a lot of old vegetation (including loads of diseased box hedge) and are replacing it with new plants. My wife is definitely chief gardener but my contribution (apart from digging, mowing and trimming lots of hedges) has been to dig up a small patch of lawn and sow wild flower seeds comprising mostly poppies and cornflower which look great this summer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have lots of birdlife and an abundance of bees and butterflies which is wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
